About

Where Healing Takes Place

Welcome! I'm Hilla Flohr, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) practicing in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C and California. With certifications in EMDR and ongoing studies in Somatic Experiencing, my therapeutic approach blends evidence-based methods with a deep understanding of trauma-informed care. Beyond my role as a therapist, I'm also a yoga instructor specializing in trauma-informed Yin yoga. I hold a strong belief in the innate capacity for healing within each individual, provided with the appropriate conditions. Recognizing that healing is a nuanced journey, often nonlinear, my aim is to cultivate a nurturing, non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported. I collaborate closely with clients, drawing from modalities such as CBT, Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness, yoga, and EMDR to tailor treatment to their unique needs. With more than 15 years of experience with client work, my academic background includes a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Haifa, Israel, and a master's in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland, USA. I assist clients dealing with a range of issues, including relationship difficulties, domestic abuse, anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, and various life challenges. I offer therapy sessions in both English and Hebrew.
